A great visual tool for easier collaboration<\/a>, other perks include adding more context to each task<\/a>\u00a0and keeping track of time<\/a> and duration.<\/p>\n Because these at-a-glance visual badges aren\u2019t exclusive to one product, we\u2019ll also include an alternative solution with Zenkit for those looking for even more options in their custom fields.<\/p>\n Custom Fields<\/a> are a Trello Power-Up (how you bring additional features and integrate apps into your board) that offer cards more functionality. Not only do they provide more context, but they also bring process and formality to your workflow. Whether it\u2019s to emphasize different levels of priority or a way to track feature requests, Trello\u2019s Custom Fields won\u2019t disappoint. Here\u2019s how they can help:<\/p>\n Now that you know what they are, you\u2019ll need to know how to create them on your Trello board. Here\u2019s a step-by-step guide:<\/p>\n First thing\u2019s first, you need to enable the Custom Fields Power-Up. To do this, go to the Power-Ups directory, and then you\u2019ll see it under the Board Utilities category.<\/p>\n Once you\u2019ve enabled the Power-Up feature, you can click the Custom Fields button, which is located on the back of the card, to add a new field. Once enabled, it shows on both the back and the front of your card.<\/p>\n „Type“<\/strong> indicates what you can input for the field. Your options include \u2018Date\u2019, \u2018Dropdown\u2019, \u2018Number, and \u2018Text\u2019.<\/p>\n „Name“<\/strong> is 25 characters long and is the moniker for your field.<\/p>\n Enter values for your fields by clicking on the field at the back of the card. To edit the entry, click on the Custom Field Power-Up button\u200a\u2014\u200athis will also change its name of it.<\/p>\n To disable the Power-Up, simply go to the directory and enter the \u2018Enabled\u2019 section, click on the gear icon and choose \u2018Disable\u2019.<\/p>\n Whatever your project, there are many ways to utilize this Power-Up feature. including the following examples:<\/p>\n It\u2019s always great to have options. Whether this means trying out a new product, or if said product had more ways for you to customize your cards.<\/p>\n Every field in Zenkit<\/a> is a Custom Field, and it comes with 11 options<\/a> to enable you to include all kinds of additional information, from extra dates to labelling costs. You can also sort and filter your data, as well as use special functions such as formulas and references. Oh, and they come at no extra cost!<\/p>\n Adding Custom Fields in Zenkit is as easy as it is in Trello.
